DONATING TO STAFS

Thank you for considering your donation to the Southeast Texas Applied Forensic Science Facility. Your generous contribution will support important forensic research that could help us develop new techniques, new theories, or even solve a case. We greatly appreciate your donation.

There are two different type of donation processes- Living Donor, which is used if you are interested in donating your own body after you pass away; and Next of Kin, which is used if you have a loved one who has already passed away.

FOR THE FAMILY

We are extremely grateful for the donors and their families for their willingness to contribute to our scientific research.

STAFS Memorial Service

Every two years, the STAFS program holds a memorial service to honor and remember those who have graciously donated their own body or their loved one's body to the care of the STAFS facility during the previous two years. Family members, friends, and members of Sam Houston State University are invited to attend the service. A reception is held immediately following the service that will include light food and refreshments.

In Remembrance of a Valuable Gift Given

Loved ones donated to the STAFS facility are a precious asset and are a pivotal component of our research and teaching activities. Their generous contribution will support important forensic research that could help us develop new techniques, new theories, or even solve a case. We greatly appreciate their donation. In honor of this gift, the Southeast Texas Applied Forensic Science Facility provides a keepsake to the Next of Kin of the donor in the care of the program. This keepsake includes a letter expressing our appreciation, as well as a certificate containing two electronically scanned fingerprints of the donor, their name, year of birth, and year of passing.
